Road Trips; the good, the bad, the stupid

It has been one of those weekends. Really.

On Saturday (See Previous Post) I said to Sher, "Lets go to Weston Vermont to the Vermont General Store." She said, "Great lets do it."

Wrong.

So we grabbed our cameras and headed out, it was rain, sun, rain, sun but a great day, UNTIL I pulled into Weston.

Me, the BIG Dummy forgot it was a three day weekend and leaf peepers would be out. Weston looked like Times Square. So we said OK another day lets just continue on and make some images and have a good time.

Today we decide to take the granddaughter, Lily, to the Iroquois Indian Museum in Schoharie county. So off we go............

And when we arrive, they were closed, they are now running on fall hours. Oh well I felt like Clark (Chevy Chase) at Wally World, the parking lot was empty. I wanted to get out of the car and scream, "Oh no you don't! I want some Indians and I want them now!"

Well cooler heads prevailed, we made some images, ate at the Cracker Barrel and headed home to relax and kill a bottle of Jim Beam.

Top is Howe Caverns and below is the Long House museum.
